Dear friends and fellow singers,

The MUSA 2023 Reunion is definitely happening! We already have over 40 singers who've expressed a strong preference for attending (pretty evenly divided by voice part), so we plan to gather in Boston for the weekend of June 15-17 at the beautiful and historic Roxbury Latin School in West Roxbury (a Boston neighborhood).

The remainder of this email provides more details on our plans for the 2023 Reunion. If you plan to attend, please register today for the weekend of June 15-17, and make your travel plans soon.

The schedule will mimic those of other reunions.  We will gather on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM for a rehearsal starting at 7 PM.  Subsequent rehearsals will take place on Friday morning and afternoon, as well as Saturday morning and afternoon.  On Saturday at 4:30 PM we will sing Mass at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury (a stone’s throw from Roxbury Latin) followed by a concert.  On Friday evening, we have been invited to sing the National Anthem at America’s most beloved ballpark, Fenway Park, for a game between two fabled franchises, the NY Yankees and the Boston Red Sox.  The final official event of the weekend will be a banquet on Saturday evening.

On behalf of our Board, we hope that you will make every effort to participate in what we believe to be a great weekend of moving music making and restorative camaraderie.  Should you be thinking that you would like to participate in what we hope to be an international tour next summer, this reunion will be a must.  We will both aim to learn important repertoire and establish a sound that will serve us well as we take our music beyond our borders.  Please let us know if you have any questions.  Our reunion last year in The Dells proved that Mastersingers is alive and well, however, we need all of you in order to ensure our ongoing quality and vitality.  We all look forward to seeing you and singing with you!
